Theologians may no longer worry about the nature of God, but filmmakers do. In fine recent films (three of them less than two years old), we see images of God that are both starting and traditional, images that are remarkably consistent and that, at the sure lime, demonstrate an astonishingly creative approach to fundamental religious questions. The five films are Oh, God!, All That Jazz, Alioiys, Mr. Destiny, and Jarob's Ladder, in which God a represented by George Burns, Jessica Lange. Audrey Hep-burn, Michael Caine, and Danny Ai-e00, respectively.
